The Barn

About the Barn

Inspired during a bike trip through rural Vermont, owners Luca and Kathy Gianturco designed their timber frame barn using massive white pine beams from Maine and recycled Oak trees, which came from the property where the barn sits.

The beam connections were made using wooden pegs, just as New England barns were built many years ago.

The barn is 12,000 square feet and the ceiling soars to 50' at the cupola. The frame was raised with the help of two timber framers from Vermont.

Workshops, lectures and other events are held here, inside and on the porches which surround the barn. Inside the barn is an interesting and broad selection of gardening supplies, gift items, accessories, home decor and our Italian cafe - Bella Luna.

Once you visit, you will discover one more reason that so many of your friends and neighbors have made Scottsdale Farms their destination for all of their gardening needs.
